HR & Payroll Specialist

Are you joining Stibbe as an HR & Payroll Specialist (1.0 FTE)?



Dutch language proficiency is required for this position. 


Stibbe is currently looking for an enthusiastic and communicative HR & Payroll Specialist to provide professional support for the payroll and employment conditions policy (for approximately 450 employees). The HR & Payroll Specialist reports to the Director HR and CFO and is part of Stibbe's Finance & Collections and HR department.


Your duties will include the following

  • Responsible for accurately and correctly processing monthly payroll both regular as well as shadow salaries of Expats;
  • Collecting payroll mutations and checking them for completeness and correctness, consulting with the HR department if necessary;
  • Entering mutations and maintaining master data in Afas;
  • Performing thorough checks, during the payroll run and its settlement;
  • Ensuring timely payment of salaries and meeting deadlines;
  • Processing mutations to insurers including WIA/WGA and to various pension administrations falls under your responsibility, including monthly reconciliation with invoicing;
  • Processing travel expenses, invoices and other declarations;
  • Providing reports, surveys and sign-off overviews;
  • Keeping track of changes in laws and regulations concerning payroll regarding the application of terms and conditions of employment and monitoring and contributing to the correct application of the terms and conditions of employment; and
  • Acting as an information and contact point for the organisation with regard to payroll-related questions on salaries, changes, employment conditions (including lease cars), pensions and insurances.


Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this position, we expect you to have completed a relevant education at HBO level and have at least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably within business services. You are very well versed in relevant laws and regulations, advanced in the use of Excel (pivot tables and queries) and (preferably) have knowledge of Afas. You have knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and experience with digital personnel files. Furthermore, it is important that you have dealt with an extensive control frame before, for instance in a SOx environment.
